What happens when you mix a dirty rock acoustic guitar with open melodic melodies, as well as gritty vocals? You get a combination of an artist by the name of Ty Kirkland. Ty has been molding his craft since he was the age of twelve. At fifteen, he became a front man for a band called Velocity and the love for performance was smitten. During the years of traveling and doing shows with his bandmates, he learned the ins and outs of the music industry as well as music production. Through personal experiences as well as an opportunity to record at the famed Tree Sound Studios in Atlanta, GA, Ty was able to work with Zack Odom (Collective Soul, Elton John, T.I., Whitney Houston, Mayday Parade, Cartel, All Time Low). During the time spent with Zack, Ty was instructed even more so in the art of show production and recording techniques, which he still uses to this day.
