Shwam is made up of four gentlemen who share a friendship of over a decade. Our musical ventures have always pulled us in different directions until recently when our Guitarist, Sam and Vocalist, Shua began writing together just for fun. The sound Sam and Shua were putting together was unique and fun enough that they decided to pursue the sound and record a demo to try and recruit members. After hearing the demo, Alex (drummer) and Jam (bassist) eventually decided that being a part of this project with their best friends, wasn't something they were going to be able to pass up, thus completing our line-up. The result has been all but electric at this point and we as a band feel like we have something really special going on. Our sound is fun, bouncy, and is sure to get people moving. We pull influences from a huge array of music and styles, including the likes of Coheed and Cambria and He is Legend, all the way to Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran. Not to mention our combined love for technical progressive music in the form of different metal stylings and even hip hop. We currently only have one demo which can be viewed/heard at the link below. Our demo track is rough, and only the tip of the iceberg as to what we hope to do and the diversity we are approaching, overall.
