Rexford is the new band on the block and consists of four best friends Matty, Derek, Robert, and Floris. With roots in Hawaii, California, and Holland, the band came together in Harlem to create a unique sound balancing smooth R&B vocals and modern pop grooves, with a slight hint of indie flavor. With songs that romanticize the struggles of being alive and searching for yourself in the city, they speak to the hearts of many urbanites.
In 2014, Rexford released its debut EP, Good Lie, and began playing at local venues such as Rockwood Music Hall and the Bitter End. In the following year, they released three singles, "Back Around", "Ship We Sank", and "Both Ways", all of which were recorded at the Converse Rubber Tracks studio in Williamsburg. In the summer of 2015 they performed at Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA and more recently, they performed at the Rock & Rawhide Gala in iHeartRadio Theater.
