R-X 3 is a group that loves to play Jazz, Pop, R&B, and Latin jazz. We play restaurants private parties also corporate parties. We are small group was the big sound.
: Bobby Simmons - Percussionist and Vocals Bobby has played all over the world, with greats such as the late-great Marvin Gaye, Ron Carter, D. J. Rogers, and with the Lanuza Brothers; Fred and Robert, performing some hot Latin Jazz. Bobby’s groups (BSG, Oudelia and EaZie Music Band) have been performing at Summer Pops for the San Diego Symphony pre-shows for the past 12 years. He also plays with: the Martin Luther King Community Choir San Diego, and the UCSD Gospel Choir. Theater Productions: like “And Still I Rise.” He has performed in CCT’s production of “Traditions of Christmas” “ I love to play and wish the music would never stop!
Robert T Lanuza Musician/Pianist
My first profession has been that of a musician/pianist.
As a musician I’ve traveled the United States and Canada playing in a variety of
music and venues. I have worked in such places as The Ritz Carlton- Laguna
Niguel, Rancho Bernardo Inn.
Opened for many acts from Mel Torme / Concerts on the Green,
Kenny Burrell / SDSU, Bloodstone /SDSU, Kenny Rodgers / Barona,
Santana / Community Concourse and many more.
I opened “Po Pazzo” a restaurant in Little Italy and have been there for over ten
years. Three times at Anthology with The Benny Hollman Big Band, Strom and
Jesse Davis.
Recently I recorded three CDs with Jack Costanzo under the “Cubop” label.
“Back From Havana”, Scorching The Skins” and “Chicken And Rice”
The CDs are being sold worldwide and are on the Jazz charts in the US.

Here's a quick summary of my musical career . I played in the 33rd Army Band
from 1968 to 1972 . Since then , I've played extensively with Benny Hollman
, and the official San Diego Charger Band . I've also had the opportunity on
many occasions to back up Frankie Laine , Frankie Avalon , and Danny Ganz .
I've also backed up Jason Scheff of Chicago , Little Anthony and the
Imperials , Freddie Cannon , and Charo .
