We are proud to introduce to you San Diego's hottest new band, My Cuzz'ins Funk. Check it, this band is full of the funkiest cats this side of the '70's. M.C. Funk is a P-Funk, Parliament, Funkadelic tribute band that has a style of all their own.
Professor Dread, also known as PD, has funky roots that stretch all the way
to Cincinnati and the master of the funk rhythm himself, Frankie 'Kash' Waddy, PD's true cousin, the original drummer for Bootsy's Rubber Band and the present drummer for all the P-Funk bands. In fact it was Frankie that named the band M.C. Funk, or My Cuzz'ins Funk, to give this group it's legitimate funk bloodline straight from the main source, funkmaster George Clinton himself.
My Cuzz'ins Funk also has special guests that are known to play with the band when they are in town, like Robert 'P-Nut' Johnson, another original member of Bootsy's Rubber Band and a present member of P-Funk. You just never know who might show up to play when M.C. Funk is on the bill!
My Cuzz'ins is also working a CD of funky originals..."Funkaholic" is already a favorite in the clubs..the whole audience is chanting "I'm...a-funk...a-holic!!"
So come check us as we play around town just hoppin' n boppin' n throwin'
