Josh Allen has spent much of the last decade playing around Austin with his Rock & Roll group, the Whisky Brothers, but it was as a solo singer-songwriter strumming on an acoustic guitar that he got his start. With influences ranging from Mississippi John Hurt and Townes Van Zandt to Bob Dylan and Tom Waits, Josh's music falls in the long tradition of gritty, soulful songwriters whose craft is equal parts poetry and blues.
