I'm Hugh Macdonald, a singer/songwriter who grew up in South Africa, England, France and Thailand. I try to blend all these cultural influences into my folk, singer/songwriter style. I grew up listening to old rock and punk, and developed into loving the melancholic, emotional acoustic music of the likes of Leonard Cohen, Ben Howard and Bon Iver. I play alone and play and write for my duo, Think of England.
