Fred Spence was raised in New Orleans and spent a considerable amount of time on the Gulf Coast. Genres for his music projects cover a full range of styles from rock to country to alt.country. Fred has permanently relocated to Austin, Texas and is excited about haunting the same venues as Texas songwriting greats such as Steve Earle, Guy Clark, Lyle Lovett, Will Calery, Dale Watson, etc.

Fred is currently performing as a solo act, as a duo with Michael B, as a band with Fred Spence and the Club Pockets, as well as others as a Guitar, Mandolin, Bass, and Banjo player.
