Following last year’s release of Fouled Out’s freshman EP and music video, We Got Problems, the band is soon returning to the studio to record a new single. They will also soon be announcing the release date for their next music video, What Is Life. After just returning from a stint on the road, the band is already busy planning their next tour that is set to launch in May.
The power trio’s crispy, raw driven riffs and hooks of classic rock are tightly held together by their time-changing-funk-inspired rhythm section, layered with the vocal pitch of the early 90s. Alex Khoury (guitar, vocals), John Hedges (bass, backing vocals, circus whistle), and Jimi Heuer (drums, sunglasses), though hailing from all over Texas, they met at a storage complex in Austin, TX where they set up their studio space. After a short, impromptu jam session and realizing that they all owned a cat, the members realized they had solidified their line-up.
Fouled Out is a two-time “Official Showcasing Artist” at the SXSW festival. They have enjoyed radio play from Midland, TX to Dubai. They recorded their first single, “Smile From A Veil” produced by Brion Gamboa, followed by “One More Step” produced by Greg Dorris. By late 2013 the band had picked Tim Dittmar (drummer of Bo Bud Greene) to produce their freshman EP, We Got Problems. Fouled Out is proud to announce a new music video, What Is Life, and their return to the studio with Tim in early 2015 to record a new single.
