Dust on the Radio's post-punk, alt-rock sound is built on the dark, insomniac songwriting of Chris Williams, whose work is heavily influenced by the early geniuses of psychedelic and glam rock, including The Doors and David Bowie. On that base, the band layers in blasts of synth harmony and danceable bass lines, making Dust on the Radio’s finished sound reminiscent of Arcade Fire, Cage the Elephant and Broken Bells.

Dust on the Radio initially formed in 2009, but it was not until 2013 that the current lineup came together and started writing songs for their forthcoming album, due Fall 2014. The group is excited to be working with acclaimed producer and sound engineer Ethan Allen who has worked with artists including Ben Harper, Better than Ezra and the Counting Crows.
