Originally from Martinez, California, singer-songwriter Derek Nelson brings sensibilities from his small town upbringing face-to-face with the experiences living in New York City. His style has been inspired by some of his favorite songwriters including Billy Joel, John Mayer, Elvis Costello, and Paul Simon.
