While moving house to house as well as school to school as a child, David found his comfort in music. His mother made it a point to push the artist while young, singing and showcasing his talents as young as the age of six for local events, various school talent shows, and even in church. David knew at an early age just who and what he wanted to be and by the age of nine he began writing and showcasing his own songs. Facing many struggles growing up in the heart of South Sacramento, David occupied most of his time at home recording or playing sports. He was a standoffish youth who wasn’t a stranger to trouble and violence. By the time he was in high school he often found himself torn between becoming a product of his environment and chasing his dreams of musical greatness.
After a four year break from music throughout middle school and part of high school, it wasn’t till towards the end of his Junior year in 2016 he began recording and dropping songs on Soundcloud starting off with “Don’t Wanna Be”. David who had still been playing football at the time and was chasing another dream with that in itself found it difficult focusing on music. Finding a little better timing after his senior year ended in 2017. Upon graduating high school
David seemed to find his rhythm while continuing to release songs on soundcloud he began pushing himself more as a artist, more as David Bank$. Doing shows, videos, and displaying himself more socially. However as the year progressed dealing with the loss of his cousin/childhood friend and the tension in his home life he once again put his music on a stand still.
Through 2018 David has released various songs and one Album titled “Vanishing Points”
That included Tracks Like “R.N.C” and “Been Through”. This seven song album was meant to show his capability to switch up the usual vibe and concept of what most of his listeners are use to hearing from him, managing to put the realness of his world into melodies. 2019, with the birth of his newborn son Kaiden Michael Day, David plans to continue to push himself to new heights with more opportunity. Dropping more songs and a few yet untitled projects, all including previous projects and releases are and will be available on all streaming platforms.
