Nicholas Kazonis
Graduate of Columbia College of Chicago in music theory and composition, Nicholas Gerasimos Kazonis is an avid composer, arranger, and performer. With a concentration in guitar, bouzouki, and vocals, his compositions contain elements of world music, rock, funk, R&B, soul, blues, folk, jazz, and fusion. His exploration of genres has led him to work with a variety of musical artists. As a seasoned composer he has been commissioned to write for the Columbia College of Chicago's New Music Ensemble, and has performed in the 2008, 2009, and 2010 concert series. Since 2009 he has been a producer and recording artist for Fakulty Studios. While working at Fakulty, his hip-hop and R&B compositions have appeared on 90210, ESPN, and other national networks. As a bouzouki player and vocalist since 2004, Kazonis has played for many nationally touring Greek ensembles within the traditional and fusion genres. He has performed and co-written original folk and rock compositions in the "Ross/Kazonis Duo" for nine years, and was also a co-founder of the variety cover band, "The Rave" in 2006. He is a newly inducted guitar player for the funk and R&B group, "Pj and Soul" under the Hitman Records label. As a current member of several bands, he can be found frequently playing throughout the northwest Indiana and Chicago region. Kazonis looks forward to his musical journey with "Caught on Cline," a group that has allowed for all of his influences to breed a new style of music; one that he hopes will speak to all walks of life.

Alexander Akers

Graduate of Indiana State University in music education, multi-instrumentalist Alexander Akers specializes on guitar, bass, and trumpet. He is an active professional musician, band director, and guitar instructor at the Hammond Academy for the Performing Arts. Influenced by a diverse array of musical styles, Akers has performed in a variety of settings, including classical, jazz, latin, hip-hop, soul, funk, R&B, rock, electronic, fusion, blues, and folk. His versatile musicianship has led him to tour nationally and internationally. Akers’ eclectic performing repertoire includes playing bass in the production “iCandy Rock n’ Roll,” at Indiana Live Casino, touring China with jazz group, “Rhapsody in Swing,” (trumpet) as well as touring the US twice with the Jefferson St. Parade Band. Akers currently plays lead guitar and bass for innovative hip-hop label "TeamGreenWhatUp,” and can be found playing frequently throughout northwest Indiana and Chicago. Akers is also the bassist in cover band, “The Rave," and is currently recording a new album with original group, “Caught on Cline” (trumpet, guitar, vocals) at Thunderclap Recording Studios. Opening for rap artists Twista and Gorilla Zoe, Akers has been featured onstage with dozens of bands throughout the Midwest and beyond.

Nikolce Janakievski

Macedonian in heritage, Nikolce Janakievski is a Crown Point, Indiana native who began playing the accordion at the age of three. His love for music led him to play in the high school drum line, where he met drummer Raymone Vickerstaff. Janakievski further developed his musical knowledge by playing in many different ensembles, and it was the lessons in discipline, strength, focus, teamwork, and rhythm that led him to gain an undying passion for music. In 2005, he began playing bass for rock band, “Discernment.” While playing with the group he went through many musical stages, developing mastery in various styles including rock, metal, and even Greek music. It was the inspiration and vision of Nicholas Kazonis that led Janakievski to gain insight that brought him through multiple stages of his music career. In the spring of 2014 Janakievski and Kazonis met multi-instrumentalist Alex Akers, and nearly the same week, were reunited with phenomenal drummer, Raymone Vickerstaff. This ultimately led to the birth of the group, “Caught on Cline.” Janakievski is currently the bassist for the group, and is collaboratively recording their first album.

Raymone Vickerstaff

Drummer Raymone A. W. Vickerstaff is a native of Merrillville, Indiana, and better known by his musical alias “Ray Vick.” At the age of five, he began studying drums with master drum pedagogue, Butch McGee of Gary, Indiana. Throughout his middle and high school years, he was an active member in the concert, marching, pep, and jazz bands. While attending Ball State University, he was the top drummer in the basketball band, and critical asset to the music program. Vickerstaff’s diverse musical taste has led him to conquer many styles including rock, blues, jazz, hip-hop, southern soul, Latin, R&B, and gospel. While growing up he frequently accompanied his church choir, as well as many other choirs throughout northwest Indiana. Since developing his YouTube membership in 2007, he has gained nearly 5,000 subscribers, and reached over 1.4 million viewers under the “MrVick85” channel. Through exposure live and via the Internet, Vickerstaff has gained recognition that has allowed him to perform with many hip-hop and R&B artists throughout the areas of Gary, Chicago, and Wisconsin. He has accompanied rap artists F. Stokes, Fitz Fonzarelli, Hajj Prime, R&B queens Erin Sedalia and Morisha Denee, as well as the show stopping, Curtis "Certified Soul.” He currently works with blues-rock band, “The Head Honchos,” as well as cover bands “The Rave, Vinyl Echoes, and KarJamm.” Vickerstaff is currently recording an original album with musicians Nicholas Kazonis, Nikolce Janakievski, and Alex Akers under the band name, “Caught on Cline.”
