Carpe Sono is a contemporary all vocal group based in Austin, Texas working to lead the southern a cappella community to notoriety. They were conceived in 2011 by director, Darnell Dibbles, as Cameron Road but did not begin to regularly perform until 2012. Since then, they have been honored to perform at community events such as Texas A Cappella Celebration, Very Special Arts in the Park Festival, Keep Austin Weird 5K Festival and Violet Crown Arts Festival. Their most notable performance was "Singing for Shelter" at The Rio Grande Theatre where, with other Austin artists, raised $7000 for LGBTQ homeless youth. Carpe Sono is recently honored to be invited to perform at Carnegie Hall, New York in April 2017 at an a cappella celebration called "Total Vocal" led by Pitch Perfect The Movie & NBC's The Sing Off Producer, Deke Sharon.
