Francis Larson is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter raised in the desert of Arizona who specializes in live-looping to provide a full band sound during gigs as a solo performer. After classical training with the Grammy Award-winning Phoenix Boys Choir, he cut his teeth busking in over 40 countries and collecting anecdotes from rain-soaked Normandy, beach towns of New Zealand, winters in northern Minnesota, foggy islands of South Korea, and eclectic ruin bars of Budapest. He writes music that vacillates between heartland Americana rock with a 90s flair to contemporary takes on the traditional folk song with minimalistic arrangements and a cappella vocals to let the stories shine through, as if 70s-era Jackson Browne fronted the Counting Crows but spent his formative years purposefully getting lost backpacking Europe and reading untranslated foreign literature past midnight.

Recently, he works as a solo guitarist on cruise ships with a repertoire of over 450 songs from the 50s to today, in a wide range of styles and genres. After a year performing 4 hours a day, 6 days a week, he has honed an ability to read audience needs and cater the mix of songs to the vibe of the listeners, and has a list of classics to singalong to, pre-made sets (such as "Celtic songs", "Beach Vibes", "Emo Night", "Classic Rock", "One Hit Wonders", and "Dance Hits" etc.) ready to fit common needs for venues, as well as unique versions of popular songs to put a fresh spin on tunes we've heard before.
