Business Class began when 8th grader Michael Tenreiro walked into the band room of Mount St. Charles on Halloween 2016 during a practice between sophomore, Eddard Moon and Junior, Daniel Hoyt. Eddard left the group a week later. Hoyt had already been writing songs and the group practiced those originals. Those songs became the foundation for the album Ignite!, which released in May 2017. The band added their former studio drummer Ben Emerson, a friend of Dan's, into the band in September of 2017. The group released a rerecorded, remixed, and remastered version of the singles from Ignite! onto their follow up EP, Extinguish!. The band is currently based in Woonsocket, RI.
